چکیده
In this paper, we study a class of quasilinear elliptic equations which appears in nonlinear optics. By using the mountain pass theorem together with technique adding one dimension space (Hirata et al. Topol Methods Nonlinear Anal 35:253–276, 2010; Jeanjean Theory Appl 28:1633–1659, 1997), prove existence non-trivial weak solution for general terms Berestycki–Lions’ type. The radial ground state and is also established under stronger assumptions on term.

Existence of ground state solutions for a class of nonlinear elliptic equations with fast increasing weight
This paper is devoted to get a ground state solution for a class of nonlinear elliptic equations with fast increasing weight. We apply the variational methods to prove the existence of ground state solution.

In this paper we study the nonlinear Schrödinger-Maxwell equations { −∆u+ V (x)u+ φu = |u|p−1u in R3, −∆φ = u2 in R3. If V is a positive constant, we prove the existence of a ground state solution (u, φ) for 2 < p < 5. The non-constant potential case is treated under suitable geometrical assumptions on V , for 3 < p < 5. Existence and non-existence results are proved also when the nonlinearity ...
متن کاملExact solutions of classical scalar field equations
We give a class of exact solutions of quartic scalar field theories. These solutions prove to be interesting as are characterized by the production of mass contributions arising from the nonlinear terms while maintaining a wavelike behavior. So, a quartic massless equation has a nonlinear wave solution with a dispersion relation of a massive wave and a quartic scalar theory gets its mass term r...

(1) a(x, y, u)ux + b(x, y, u)uy = c(x, y, u), with a, b, c at least C, given real valued functions. There is an immediate difference between semilinear and quasilinear equations at this point: since a and b depend on u, we cannot associate a vector field on R to the equation: we need to work on R at least to account for the (x, y, u) dependence. To achieve this, we proceed as follows. We consid...
